On Tuesday, January 16th, Bill Hanna and the Jazz All-Stars present “A Tribute to Miles Davis–Birth of the Cool” at Morehead Tavern, 300 East Morehead Street.

Miles Davis is among the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th century music. Davis adopted a variety of musical directions in his five-decade career which kept him at the forefront of a number of major stylistic developments in jazz. Miles Davis palyed with some of the most influenctial Jazz artists of all time including John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, and Charlie Parker.
