McDowell Nature Preserve, at 15222 York Road, is hosting a Mother’s Day hike on Sunday, May 11th, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The hike, suitable for those 8 years old and up, is 2-3 miles, at a comfortable pace. It’s free but registration is required. Call 704-588-5224 to register.
