What does Moulin Rouge have to do with Opera? The movie was based off of La traviata, a classic opera composed by Verdi, centering around two people from opposite sides of the tracks who fall in love. Come see the movie and then join us at the Belk theater on January 22, 26 or 28 to see the opera that inspired Luhrmann’s film.
