The Coalition for Cultural Compassion is proud to present our second Multicultural Holiday Series for Kids event! This FREE series is a wonderful way to introduce kids aged 5-12 to different holidays through fun and interactive sessions that will encourage cultural awareness and acceptance.
This session on May 20th will teach about the Muslim holiday of Ramadan and the festival of Eid. In addition to RSVPing to the event on fb, please fill out this form so that we may plan our activities accordingly.

1. Who will be presenting?
Victoria Abdelfattah will be teaching us about this Muslim holiday. Victoria from Winthrop University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught elementary school in CMS for 3 years. She also taught Sunday School for around 6 years before converting to Islam, after which she taught a youth group and briefly started an Islamic preschool.
2. Who can attend?
The presentations are designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12 and their parents/guardians/caregivers, but all ages are welcome.
3. Will childcare be available for children under 5?
No, unfortuantely we are not able to provide childcare services for this event.
4. Do I need to register my children?
We highly encourage you to register your children for the event if you plan to attend. This will help us to plan our activities accordingly.
5. Is there an entry fee?
No 🙂 This event is FREE, though we will have a donation jar. All proceeds will be used to help cover the costs of future Multicultural Holiday Series for Kids events.
6. Can I drop my child off for the event and pick him/her up after?
No. Due to liability reasons, each child attending must remain under the supervision of his or her caregiver.
