Museum of the Waxhaws, 8215 Waxhaw Highway, Waxhaw, preserves knowledge and understand of the native tribes that lived in the Waxhaw area, as well as other facets of the area’s history.
It’s open three days a week:
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission:
- Adults: $5
- Children 6-12: $2
- Seniors: $4
- Children 5 and under: free
Permanent exhibits include:
- Secrest Homestead
- Heritage Garden
- Nesbit Smokehouse
