The award-winning Northwest School of the Arts is holding its annual celebration, Northwest Fest, on Saturday, September 12th, 2015, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The festival includes a talent show, live entertainment, music, games, and food. It’s free to attend and the community is invited. Northwest School of the Arts is a public audition-based magnet school that focuses on performing and visual arts for students in 6th through 12th grade.
Northwest gained world-wide attention when one of its students, 17-year-old Eva Noblezada, landed the starring role in the London production of Miss Saigon, and, again, when theater arts teacher Corey Mitchell won the inaugural Excellence in Theater Education Award at the Tonys.
Northwest Fest is a chance to get to know the school a little bit while enjoying the arts.
