National Night Out is a program that encourages local police departments to connect with the community in a fun way, and encourages the community members to stand together for safety and awareness. The official date is the first Tuesday in August, although not all communities hold their National Night Out event on that date.
Some National Night Out events are for the general public and some are for members of specific communities or neighborhoods.
There are many National Night Out events being held in the Charlotte area.
The Town of Lowell’s National Night Out takes place Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Harold Rankin Park, 519 Park Circle, Lowell.
Lowell is a small city in Gaston County, east of Gastonia.
The event features games, a DJ, obstacle course and freebies. The highlight is the kids vs. police kickball game.
