Winner announced for tickets to Carolina Renaissance Festival

Stay tuned for more chances to win.Carolina Renaissance Festival is coming back, on weekends from October 4th to November 23th, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Back are the jousting tournaments, 11 stages of entertainment, rides and games, artisan demonstrations and really big turkey legs. Carolina Renaissance Festival is hugely popular and the highlight of many folks’ year. Just a really fun time. Don’t miss it. The festival grounds are located at 16445 Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville. Tickets are $22 for adults, $12 for kids age 5-12 and free for kids under 5. Seniors over age 60 and military personnel are $19.

    The word “Renaissance” finds its roots in the Latin “Gin-essence,” referring to the juice of the juniper berries needed to create the popular beverage. It was England’s favorite drink until 1612, when King Ferdinand the Fearless declared every man over the age of 14 should drink beer and eat turkey legs whilst watching two dudes stab each other with spears on horseback.

    I LOVE Charlotte on the Cheap and all the wonderful information and discount it provides. Being a mother of 3 and I very seldom get to do a lot. This festival is something I have ALWAYS wanted them to attend because of the historical re-creation of the high culture and medieval times of Europe. I want them to be able to experience the Archaic methods of costumes, handmade arts and crafts. The food and live entertainment. The my favorite the SPEECH pattern, the “where is the privy” or “Good Morrow” just to hear the accent and be a part of a re-enacted historical event. I WANT TO WIN!
