North Carolina Zoo, at 4401 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, North Carolina, is offering $5 admission to people affected by Hurricane Helene through November 15, 2024.
If you’ve been affected by Hurricane Helene and live in one of the following counties, just request the $5 rate (per person), extendable to five additional guests in the same party. You must present a valid form of North Carolina ID indicating residence within one of these counties:
Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Clay, Cleveland, Gaston, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, Yancey, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
Discovery Place is also offering $3 admission (through the end of October), and Carolina Raptor Center is offering free admission (through the end of 2024), to those affected by Hurricane Helene.
