If you’re looking for a place for lunch Friday, October 3rd, 2014, consider the Charlotte Observer’s lawn, at 600 South Tryon Street, for their Observe the Pink event, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This breast cancer awareness event will feature 12 food trucks on site, as well as a DJ spinning tunes, more than 20 vendors, a fundraising raffle and local sports mascots. Plus, the first 108 guests will receive a free Publix gift bag.
Proceeds from the lunch event, sponsored by Charlotte Radiology Breast Center, will support local breast cancer awareness efforts.
Members of the public can meet Observer health reporters Karen Garloch and Ann Doss Helms. Brigida Mack from WBTV will emcee the afternoon.
The 12 food trucks slated to set up shop are: Southern Cake Queen, Smoke & Go, Dan the Pig Man, Two Chicks & a Truck, Chappell’s Snack Shack, Sticks & Cones, Comfort Foods, Libretto Pizza, Maryland Crab & Co., Green’s Lunch, Juan Taco and Sugar.
