In the wake of the State of Emergency, Charlotte Symphony’s free September 22nd event, Symphony on Tap, has been canceled. However, it will be presenting One Charlotte: A Performance for Peace on Saturday, September 23rd, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at Belk Theater. This is a free performance. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Fanfare for the Common Man on the Belk Theater plaza. The indoor concert will begin at noon. This concert is free and open to the public.
“As the city’s orchestra, we have a moral imperative to provide an opportunity for reflection and community,” says Music Director Christopher Warren-Green. “Music cares beyond pain.”
If you cannot make the event, tune in to 89.9 WDAV for a live broadcast.
