Do you love your pet? Really love your pet? Celebrate that love by painting a picture of your best friend.
The best part might be that proceeds benefit Charlotte Black Dogs, an organization that helps black dogs get adopted. Read more about the organization below.
Paint Your Pet takes place on Sunday, August 18th, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Painting With a Twist, 4724 Sharon Road.
The way it works is you’ll book your spot and send Painting with a Twist a photo of your pet. Then they’ll sketch a picture for you, and will be prepared to guide you through it step by step.
The final portrait will be on a 16×20 canvas.
The cost is $55.
Also, the picture doesn’t have to be of your pet. This would be a pretty awesome gift. You can probably think of someone who would love to receive this as a gift.
Here’s the link for registering.
Then, email a good quality photo of your pet to charlotte@paintingwithatwist.com no later than 4 days before the event.
BYOB. They’ll provide cups, plates, napkins and bottle openers. Also, BYO ice and eating and serving utensils if necessary.
Charlotte Black Dogs was started to promote awareness of “Black Dog Syndrome.” Black dogs are the last to be adopted from shelters. Back in 2013, when the organization first started, 2/3 of all black dogs that entered shelters were euthanized.
