Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, 650 East Stonewall Street, presents River City, which was voted audience & judges Favorite at ATC’s 2013 nuVoices Festival, from September 3rd, 2014 to September 20th. Just weeks after her father’s death, Mary discovers a childhood photograph of him from a past he never talked about. Determined to excavate her heritage, Mary goes on a quest to uncover a half-century of family and town secrets buried in the West End of Louisville, Kentucky. Sometimes, going back home means leaving life behind.
Thursday, August 28th, is “Pay What You Can” night. The show is at 7:30 p.m. and no reservations are taken. Seating is first-come, first-served. $10 is the suggested donation; however, it really is “pay what you can.” Don’t let your light wallet stop you from going. You can pick up your ticket starting at 6:30 p.m. There are also two special preview nights, August 29th and 30th, with a discount ticket price of $17. You can order those online.
