Pedal to Porch is a free event made possible by Charlotte B-cycle, BCBSNC, the Knight Foundation, Historic West End Initiative, National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Southminster, No Grease and Johnson C. Smith University.
It’s a guided neighborhood bike ride in the 5 Points Neighborhood. Along the way the group will make stops on the route, and residents will use their front porch as a stage to tell their story. You’ll hear stories from neighborhood heroes.
It takes place Saturday October 6th, 2018. Meet at Mosaic Village, 1635 West Trade Street, at 4 p.m. The bike ride will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will return to Mosaic Village.
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. participants will enjoy a free dinner at Mosaic Village.
You can bring your own bike or borrow one from B-Cycle. If you need to borrow one, register at the Eventbrite page.
If you would like to borrow a kids’ bike or trishaw, email samantha@charlottebcycle.com.
