Nano Center, at 624 Matthews Mint Hill Road in Matthews, is offering free Pickleball for adults on Sundays through June through August, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pickleball, which is very popular in Florida, but also gaining popularity nationwide, is similar to tennis, but with a few differences. The game is played with a whiffle ball and hard paddle on a badminton sized court. Free instruction and equipment will be provided, A pickleball ball typically moves at one-third of the average speed of a tennis ball and the court is just under one-third of the total area of a tennis court.
