Plaza Midwood Walking Tour – Explore History, Art, and Culture Oct. 5 and 6

Learn about the history, art and culture of Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood neighborhood on a Plaza Midwood Walking Tour. The tours take place Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, 2024. Tickets are $10.

The tours start at 1324 The Plaza, Charlotte, North Carolina.

The tours are approximately two hours long, covering 1.5 miles around Plaza Midwood.

This in-person event will take you on a guided tour around the area, exploring its rich history, diverse art scene, and unique cultural landmarks.

Please be prepared to walk on uneven sidewalks, cross streets, and generally immerse yourself in the hustle & bustle of the neighborhood. It’s suggested that you bring suncreen and water.

Food & Drink: There will be a total of 6 stops, and along the way the group will be making two stops for drinks/bathroom/snacks. Those establishments participate in the Plaza Midwood Social District. If you are interested in enjoying an alcoholic beverage along the walk, you will be able to purchase the speciality cup at the first stop (cup cost in addition to the drink cost).

Parking: Please always beware of the signage as there are certain location and timing restrictions. Plan to park for at least two hours.

Street parking can be found near the start of the tour location, in the residential neighborhoods, and there is also a paid lot at the corner of The Plaza and Commonwealth Avenue.
