Here’s a chance to get to know the candidates for Charlotte City Council District seats and the school board through the art of storytelling.
Plot to Politics–Candidate Story Share is a free event that takes place Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. at The Third Place, 1609 East 5th Street, which is at Caldwell Presbyterian Church.
Through the art of storytelling, we see the real truth of people. We see exactly who they are and what they care about. Charlotte political candidates have agreed to share a piece of their lives, by revealing their stories at this live story share. This isn’t a candidate debate. This isn’t a political panel. This is the opportunity for you–the voter–to learn the person behind the politics.
This is a nonpartisan event. We’ve invited all candidates for Charlotte mayor and at-large city council for this first event. We will feature district city council and school board candidates for a future event.
Through the art of storytellling, we see the truth of people. We see how their life expereinces shape who they are. This unique event will give voters an opportunity to hear the personal stories of those running for Charlotte City Council district seats and those running for School Board.
This is the second installment of this event. We had part 1 earlier in August for Mayoral candidates and City Council At-Large candidates. It was a beautiful eye-opening experience, and we expect the same for this event.
