Pounding for Parker Foundation is putting on a free community event Sunday, June 4th, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Kadi Fit, 19725 Oak Street, Cornelius:
Join the Lake Norman community as we come together to pound out pediatric cancer in support of the Pounding For Parker Foundation.
Enjoy an evening of food trucks and brews from new local brewmasters Eleven Lakes Brewery. Toss a ball around with the Carolina Miners lacrosse team, or check out a firetruck from Cornelius-Lemley Fire & Rescue Station One.
Enjoy live music from the band Billy Jones and the Pocket, and bid on cool prizes and gifts in the silent auction, and more! Your support will go toward advancing critical research for pediatric cancer like Parker’s. For more information on how you can help pound out pediatric cancer with Parker, visit poundingforparker.com.
In November 2015, Parker Cowherd of Cornelius, NC was diagnosed with a rare form of brain and spinal cancer at only seven years old. Like nearly all cancers of the brain and central nervous system, there is no cure for Parker’s disease. This must change! Only 4% of federal cancer research supports research for pediatric cancers. Join Parker and his family in their fight to pound out pediatric cancer and bring awareness to finding a cure.
