Queen City Comedy is a non-profit artist collective dedicated to growing the comedy scene in Charlotte by building community, fostering collaboration, showcasing their talent, and celebrating quality work.
They’re known for hosting Queen City Comedy Festival, their Monthly Queen City Spotlight Shows, teaching classes and giving back to the community through their Queen City Cares group.
From January 3rd to 10th, 2021, they are presenting Faculty Week, a collection of free jams, shows, classes and more.
You can find all the events on Eventbrite. Registration is required for all of them. They are for ages 18+ except the kids’ class.
Many of the events are FREE, but donations are very much appreciated.

Global Improv Jam

When you merge the two, it creates an atmosphere of self love and freedom to allow your body to play. Come flow with me as we use improv to free our bodies and our minds in a gentle vinyasa flow. Improviser TJ Jagodowski – one-half of the legendary duo TJ and Dave, co-author of the book Improvisation at the Speed of Life, and star of the film Trust Us, This is All Made Up – will conduct a dialog with improvisors and students in our community.
He’ll share his insight and wisdom on improv and take questions from you and your peers.

Come use your creativity as we explore play & yes and!
This one hour class is open to all levels of improv or acting experience. No experience required. Ages 7-12 preferred. Participants will be emailed a Zoom Link after they register on Eventbrite.
Classes are free but donations are welcome on Venmo at @queencitycomedy.
About your instructors:
Brenna Judkins is an improviser from San Diego, CA. She currently improvises with Babysitters Club Improv and The Queen City Comedy Global Improv Project.
Maggie O’Neill is a stand up comic and improviser based out of San Diego California. Her comedy has been featured on the 2020 Mutiny Radio Comedy festival as well as the UK’s Extreme Improv festival. She believes Improv is a lot like summer camp and she wants to be your Counselor.
