A Two-Day Toast To Women’s Empowerment at Resident Culture

Friday, March 7

• 7 to 9 p.m.: Laugh Until You Cry: Stand-Up Comedy Showcase – Featuring an all-female-identifying comedy lineup. Afterward, moderator Skylar Shock will lead a talkback with the performers and mental health providers about how women discuss and laugh about mental health.

Saturday, March 8

• 11 a.m.: Panel Discussion – Local healthcare professionals will discuss women’s health, advocacy and education, featuring OBGYNs, doulas, physicians and more local female health experts.
• 11:45 a.m.: One-on-One Consultations – Attendees can ask any and all of their personal healthcare questions with the panelists.
• 1-5 p.m.: Women-Owned Business Market
• 1-7 p.m.: Food by El Veneno – Owner Kimmy Bazan will serve up some of its classic Mexican dishes for guests to enjoy.
• 1-8 p.m. Live Music from some of Charlotte’s top female DJ’s (DJ Seebirdgo and DJ Micki Blendz)
• Additional activations will include a birth control touch and feel info booth and a postcard station hosted by She Dreams in Color Foundation featuring artwork by local creatives.

• 1-2 p.m.: Self-Defense Seminar – Led by Master Amy Kim, Owner and Headmaster at USK Martial Arts ($25 + fees per person via Eventbrite, 15+, space is limited)
• 2 p.m.: Live Demo – A board-breaking and protection demonstration by USK Martial Arts’ performance team.
• 3 p.m.: Pole Dancing Workshop – hosted by Chateauwo ($35 + fees per person via Eventbrite)
