Queen City Robotics Alliance is presenting a free Robot Festival on Saturday, August 21st, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Tuckaseegee Park and Recreation Center, 4820 Tuckaseegee Road, Charlotte.
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is giving away 300 backpacks with school supplies. (Supplies limited.)
This program is intended for middle and high school students interested in being part of a team that builds competition robots. Beginners are welcome.
At this event you can expect:
- Fun, games, activities
- DJ music
- Giveaways
- Robot demonstrations by FIRST robotics teams
- A chance to test-drive a robot for yourself
- Drinks and snacks are provided
The Robot Festival is sponsored by Culture Blocks— a community partnership between ASC, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to bring arts and cultural experiences closer to where residents live. Culture Blocks is funded by Mecklenburg County.
