Charlotte Curling Association is hosting a free event, Rocktoberfest, at its facility at 6525 Old Statesville Road, on Saturday, September 26th, 2015, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include a beer tent, food for purchase, and indoor and outdoor games like snooker, crokinole, cornhole, and bocce. Also, the public will have the opportunity toget on the ice to try throwing a curling stone or sweep. There is no admission charge for the event or the on-ice opportunity. German-themed food and beverages for purchase will include bratwurst, pretzels and spaetzle from Chili Man and OMB beer.
