The Clown Skate Jam, from Sunday, March 30th, 1pm to 5pm, at Kate’s Skating Rink at 1151 Skating Rink Drive (corner of Hudson) in Gastonia, is a benefit for A Child’s Place, which helps homeless kids. The admission cost of $7 includes pizza and hot dogs. Clowns will be on hand to give you a clown makeover, so don’t worry at all about being the only non-clown during couples skate. A portion of the admission price goes to A Child’s Place. Please bring wrapped snacks and hygiene items for donation as well.
