Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins the evening of Friday, September 15 and ends at sundown on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Some foods that are traditional to eat on Rosh Hashanah are apples and honey, round Challah, and pomegranates.
Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen is offering a Rosh Hashanah menu, to be ordered a-loa-carte. The items are prepared cold, to reheat, in compostable, oven-safe packaging for the mains.
Highlights include:
- Braised Brisket with Tomato and Kosher Wine Sauce topped with Apple Compote
- Traditional Round Challah: with apple butter and honey butter on the side
- Individual or 4-Pack of Corvina with Sicilian Tomato Pesto
- Stuffed Peppers: filled with eggplant, tomato, mozzarella and smoked cauliflower
- Kale Salad: Kale marinated in a lemon vinaigrette with pine nuts and parmesan
- Tzimmes with Carrots, Beets and Golden Raisins
- Apple Buckle Cake, with Cardamom-Peppercorn Honey Caramel; Whipped Cream
Pick-up or Delivery (anywhere in the Charlotte area with Fort Mill, Gastonia, Mint Hill and more included) on Friday September 15, 2023, between 2 and 6 pp.m.
Order Deadline: Wednesday September 13, 2023, at 2 p.m.
