Saturday, November 29th, 2014, is Small Business Saturday, a chance to help fuel the local economy by shopping at locally owned businesses. Spandex City, a comics and games store, and its next door neighbor X-tra Ball, a pinball and ice cream parlor, have some fun stuff going on:
Spandex City and X-tra Ball will be co-hosting “Sci-Fi Small Business Saturday” as a “Toys For Tots” benefit on Saturday, November 29, 2014. Meet some of your favorite science fiction characters. Imperial stormtroopers and Ghostbusters are some of the characters that are scheduled to appear between noon and 2 p.m. Bring in or purchase a new, unwrapped toy to donate to “Toys for Tots” at Spandex City and receive the following for FREE*:
– A science-fiction/fantasy comic book
– A comic-art lithograph
*limit 1 lithograph per household; while supplies last
