Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, Beta Omicron Sigma Chapter, is holding its Annual Youth Symposium 2024 on March 9, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It takes place at Johnson C. Smith University, 100 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.

This is a free event for ages 12-18.

This Symposium is held simultaneously on the second Saturday of March by Alumnae Chapters across the nation. This year the theme for the Youth Symposium is “Supporting, Serving, and Empowering Youth Educationally, Civically, Socially, Physically and Emotionally”.

The Youth Symposium will feature hands-on, interactive leadership activities.

Workshops include:

Money Habititudes: Learn about saving, tracking and investing money
Talk to the Hands (ASL and Deaf Culture)
The Evolution of E-Gaming: Learn about career opportunities in esports, gaming, healthy gaming habits and coping with toxicity in gaming
Robotics: Explore career fields, practical application of STEM, design strategy and prototyping
Becoming a Priceless Person of Value
In Sync: The fundamentals of hip hop

There will be a parent lounge as well.
