Young adults, ages 16-30, and their families, are invited to the 5th Annual “Momma I Don’t Want To Go To College” Skill and Trade Expo.
Families can learn about alternative pathways to success, emphasizing the value of local community colleges, associate degree programs and career-focused education.
This expo is free to attend and takes place Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Sugaw Creek Recreation Center, 943 W Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. Please make sure to RSVP.
It’s a great opportunity for 2025 graduates, regardless of their GPA.
At the expo:
- Meet vendors, network, and explore hands-on career opportunities
- Learn about community colleges and associate degree programs
- Learn about skilled trade and apprenticeship programs
Learn about and celebrate blue collar skilled jobs! Some vendors will be hiring on the spot.
In times of financial uncertainty, skilled trades, community college education, and associate degrees remain stable, secure, and affordable paths to high-paying careers and economic mobility—without the burden of student loan debt.
The event is honoring the life and legacy of Nipsey Hussle’s “Too big to fail” approach to economic-development and wealth building.
