Sycamore Brewing, 2161 Hawkins Street, is hosting a free Solar Eclipse Viewing Party on Monday, August 21st, 2017, starting at 12 p.m.
Between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Charlotte will experience a partial eclipse. 98% of the sun will be eclipsed by the moon.
If you want to see the total eclipse you’ll need to travel to South Carolina or to the southern North Carolina mountains. Here’s a post that has some information on where to travel to see the total solar eclipse.
You don’t need me to tell you to not look at the sun during a partial eclipse, right? I mean, it is the sun.

At Sycamore Brewing’s party, you’ll get a free pair of NASA verified glasses with the purchase of a beer/glass of wine/kombucha/ King of Pops popsicle.
There will be Beer specials. Food Truck on-site serving lunch.
This is a free, family-friendly event.
