Thursday, October 15th, 2015, through Sunday, October 18th, the parking lots of Dilworth Artisan Station, 118 East Kingston Avenue, will be transformed into a pop-up neighborhood living room. This project, spearheaded by Varian Shrum was made possible by K880 Emerging City Champions program, an initiative created by the Knight Foundation and 8 80 Cities to empower young civic innovators across the US to make their cities more livable. In addition a host of local businesses and organizations pitched in to make this happen.
So what’s happening? The space will be set up as a family-friendly place to gather and hang out. There will be food, entertainment, places to sit, a Yoga class, pumpkin painting, storytelling…all culminating in a Panthers tailgate party Sunday.
