Historic Rosedale Plantation, at 3427 North Tryon Street, has been around since 1815 and along the way has collected some ghosts and ghost stories. In October there are many opportunities to get a little spooked at Rosedale. You can and should sign up for these events in advance. Follow the below links to do so.
Paranormal Grounds Investigation
October 20th and 21st, 7:30 p.m.
Join professional ghost hunters as they take no more than 30 guests through the grounds of Rosedale’s 200 year old plantation, and attempt contact with the beyond. You will use the latest technology in partnership with the Charlotte Area Paranormal Society. Their team will lead the investigation. Please wear flat, quiet comfortable shoes and bring a small twist top flashlight. You never know what you may find… or what may find you!
$15 early bird, through October 10th. After that it’s $20.
The Spirits of Rosedale Plantation
October 27, 28
Join us this Halloween as the Spirits of Historic Rosedale Plantation come back to life. Discover why, even today, they remain in this 200 year-old plantation. Let the spirits themselves transport you through the history of this mysterious place. Meet spirits bound here because of tragic epidemics, insanity, greed, and even the hope for freedom on the Underground Railroad. Be careful not to linger too long with the spirits…. they are just DYING to meet you!
The Spirits of Rosedale takes visitors on a night tour through the plantation home’s first floor, kitchen basement, and gardens. Rosedale’s theatrical production team presents this family-friendly Halloween production appropriate for audiences ages 6 and up.
