Discovery Place is hosting a Star Party on Saturday, May 10th, 2014, at 7 p.m. This free event is open to everyone. Discovery Place and Charlotte Amateur Astronomers Club will provide the telescopes. The event takes place on the top of the Discovery Place parking deck. The evening will begin with an astronomy presentation and include a recognition of the 60th anniversary of the Charlotte Amateur Astronomy Club, followed by exploring the night sky with telescopes, weather permitting. Parking is free too.
