Mecklenburg Extension Master Gardeners (EMG) is introducing a new monthly program for kids age four and five, Listen Look Learn in the Garden. The program begins with story time. The book sets the stage for a guided walk in the EMG Freedom Park Demonstration Garden and into the surrounding park. Kids will explore the story’s theme by interacting with nature. The events will be held ran or shine. Participants should wear closed toe shoes and bring water. Siblings are welcome to attend as well, but the program is designed for four and five year old children. The dates are these Sundays, April 27th, May 25th, June 22nd, July 27th, August 24th, September 28th and October 26th, and the program takes place from 3pm to 4pm. Meet at Freedom Park located near Mahlon Adams Pavilion with parking at the intersection of Lilac Road and Cumberland Avenue. It’s free but you must register in advance online.
