What do Rachel Berry of “Glee,” Ann Perkins of “Parks and Recreation” and Zoey Johnson of “Black-ish” have in common? A love of the bright, bold notebooks, folders and mobile cases from Charlotte-based Studio C.
At the Studio C Warehouse Sample Sale on Nov. 13-14, shoppers will have a chance to join in on the stylish fun, at a fraction of the cost — everything will be marked at 75-85 percent of retail price.
While this isn’t the first time Studio C (operating in Charlotte since 1945 as Carolina Pad) has held a clearance sale, this year’s event at the warehouse in Southwest Charlotte is by far the largest: over 25,000-square feet of notebooks, binders, organizational items, backpacks laptop sleeves and totes, tablet cases, iPhone and Galaxy phone cases, pencil cases/accessory clutches and more.
“We have the space for a sale of this size, so we thought why not offer all of our wonderful products to the public instead of just a small sampling,” says Lorraine Garden, Studio C eCommerce Manager. “We are moving our headquarters to a new location, so we are doing a spring cleaning — in the fall — to prepare for the move.”
Students, teachers, parents and savvy pre-holiday shoppers will find deals galore among the thousands of items that will be part of the sale:
- Backpacks and messenger bags: $10
- Fabric tote bags: $10
- Laptop sleeves: $7
- Notebooks: 75 cents
- Memo books: 50 cents
- Expandable folders: $2
- Clutches, pencil cases and pouches: $2
- Binders: $1
The majority of items will be under $20, but there will be super deals on the higher end, too. For example, the Hot To Trot Rolling Duffel, normally $139, will be $45 during the warehouse sale.
The warehouse sale is open to the public 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Nov. 13 and 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. Nov. 14 at 3552 Westinghouse Blvd. Cash and credit will be accepted, no checks. There are no minimums for purchase and no limits. Two Chix & A Truck food truck will be on-site 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Friday; The Tin Kitchen food truck will be on-site 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
