The Last Word, a used book and media store in the University area, is offering a summer reading program for kids again this year. It runs from June 1st, 2016, through August 28th, and is for kids age 12 and under. It’s very simple to participate. When your child reads ten books this summer he or she will receive a $5 credit that can be used for any book in the children’s department. Not only that, but they can bring in their old books and media and start a trade credit in their own name. You can get a summer reading form at the front desk of the store, download it from here, or just write the titles of the books on a piece of paper. The Last Word has moved! It’s at 5744 North Tryon Street. Check out their new location!
