Once a month, ImaginOn, at 300 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, hosts Super Saturdays — these are free activities at Spangler Library that relate to a Children’s Theatre of Charlotte show.
The next Super Saturday takes place on November 2, 2024, from 12 to 3 p.m.
In honor of Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s show Grace for President, ImaginOn will be partnering with Charlotte-based organization GenerationNation to help us demonstrate how to build civic literacy and leadership from an early age.
These are non-partisan, real world learning activities.
Generation Nation will sponsor:
- Handouts/Election guide for kids
- Mock Election activity
- “What’s Your Wish” and “If I’m elected…” prompts
Additionally, there will be balloons, buttons, bunting and banners all celebrating American’s ability to vote.
In addition, the library is hosting a voting-themed Family Story Time at 10:30 a.m., themed crafts all day in the Spangler Library, and a special Book Start Art program recognizing the first black woman to have art acquired by the White House.
