Suzie’s Pride Big Cat Sanctuary, 4597 Cook Road, Rockwell, is a sanctuary and rescue for big cats.
The facility is a no-kill, no-breed facility for unwanted, abused and neglected big cats from private owners, commercial entities, zoos and other sanctuaries. It provides cats with a place to live out their days in a compassionate respectful environment.
It houses cats like lions and tigers.
The sanctuary is in Rockwell, which is in Rowan County. It’s about 36 miles from the center of Charlotte, near China Grove.
It regularly holds FREE Big Cats Open Houses. There are education talks and you can see the cats.
