College students, as well as their parents, can experience sticker shock when they shop for textbooks. Books for a full schedule can easily add up to $1,000 or more a year. I asked my daughter, a rising sophomore who is the most resourceful and thrifty textbook shopper I know, for some tips. She wrote up a list of ten tips for saving money on textbooks. She used a textbook from the intro biology class she took last year at UNC as an example to compare costs.
Read those ten tips for saving money on textbooks on Living on the Cheap.
Our friends at Wichita on the Cheap also put together some tips. Check out their list too.
