Each year, local organizations and community groups in the Charlotte area sponsor Thanksgiving turkey and food giveaways, to make sure families facing food insecurity or financial hardship can gather together for a traditional meal.
We’re collecting as many of these turkey giveaways and food distribution events as we can find, and listing them here.
If you know of someone who might benefit from this information, please share it with them!
And if your group is hosting a food giveaway that you’d like to list here, please email us at info@charlotteonthecheap.com with the details (including a link to your website or where you have the event listed.)
If you’re in need of food, please also check out Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, which is a good central point for many resources, and The Bulb, which distributes free produce at many regularly scheduled markets.
If you have a question about receiving one of these meals, however, please contact the group directly. We can’t answer any further questions about the events.
