Cheerwine Centennial Celebration
Cheerwine’s Centennial Celebration in Salisbury features live music, free Cheerwine and more
Cheerwine is celebrating its 100th birthday. Celebrate in Salisbury by drinking free Cheerwine, helping to judge a BBQ competition, listening to great music from Time Sawyer, Gyth Rigdon, Empire Strikes Brass, Acoustic Syndicate and Room Full of Blues. There will be a kids’ zone and tours of Rowan Museum.

Meck Dec Day Celebration at Charlotte Museum of History
Charlotte Museum of History’s Family Fun Day also explores local African-American history. Learn about the Carolina Backcountry. Meet Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Polk, one of the first families to live in Charlotte Town, while enjoying performances from Drums4Life, poet Queen Isis, and LATIBAH Collard Green Museum. There will be hands-on activities for kids and families.

Charlotte Symphony Pro-Am
At Charlotte Symphony’s Pro-Am, amateur musicians are getting an exciting opportunity to perform alongside members of the Charlotte Symphony, under the direction of Music Director Christopher Warren-Green. Nearly 40 community members answered the call for performers, and rumor has it that there will be some recognizable faces among them.

Cars 3 “Road to the Races”: free fan event at Charlotte Motor Speedway gives fans a sneak peek of the movie, as well as a chance to get photos with the “stars” of the movie (Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez and Jackson Strong), participate in a host of family-friendly activities, try out a ace pit crew tire-changing simulation, sample high-octane smoothies, have fun in an interactive play area featuring locations from the movie.
