Topgolf is a little bit different (to say the least) than traditional golf. You play from climate controlled hitting bays, so you can play all year. The 240-yard outfield has dartboard-like targets in the ground. The closer to the center or “bull’s-eye” you get and the farther out you hit your microchipped balls, the more points you receive.
Add to that a food and beverage menu. Servers will bring your order right to your hitting bay.
It’s also suitable for all skill levels, so even if you’ve never played golf before — even if you’ve never hit a golf ball before — you can still play.
Topgolf also has a bar and restaurant, free wi-fi, a rooftop terrace with fire pits, and private event spaces.
Topgolf has two Charlotte locations:
- 8024 Savoy Corporate Dr.
- 9110 Drivers Way, Charlotte. (AKA “Near IKEA.” If you’re visiting IKEA too, make sure to check out our writeup on everything you need to know about IKEA!)
Topgolf charges per hour, per bay. Up to six people can play in one bay. So, if you do have six people, it will be less expensive for each.
Please note that there’s a $5 one-time member fee for each player.
The cost depends on the time of day and which day it is.
On most days, the cost per bay per hour is:
- Open to 12 p.m.: $30/hour for each bay
- 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.: $40/hour for each bay
- 5 p.m. to close: $52/hour for each bay ($49 on Fridays and Saturdays)
On Friday and Saturday, the cost is $5 to $6 more per hour.
But there are several chances to save.
Half-Price Tuesday
On Tuesdays, all game play is half price all day:
- Open to 12 p.m.: $15/hour for each bay
- 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.: $20/hour for each bay
- 5 p.m. to close: $26/hour for each bay

Unlimited Topgolf Play
Enjoy unlimited Topgolf game play for only $15 per person from 10 a.m. – noon, every Monday through Friday. This can be a better deal instead of the per bay rate. Make sure to ask your Bay Host at the beginning of your visit to apply the promotion. More details here.

Topgolf offers military (active duty and veterans), police, fire and EMS personnel, healthcare workers and teachers 10% off Topgolf game play, 20% discount on select monthly memberships, and 10% discount on event game play and/or room rental when you book an event with a Topgolf Sales Associate. Invite your friends to download a Topgolf App and become a Member, and you both get $15 off game play just for joining. You can refer up to 14 friends every year and get $15 every time.
