The Tosco Music Open Mic is now taking place the first Tuesday of the month at The Evening Muse, 3227 N Davidson Street, Charlotte, North Carolina. (This is a change — it used to be on the first Wednesday of the month.) You should check on the Evening Muse website to be sure each month, though, because sometimes there could be a change.
The event is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. The ticket price is $5.36, plus fees.
This is a smaller, open mic version of the Tosco Music Parties. Several musicians who have performed at a Tosco Music Party were discovered at this open mic.
The event starts with an open singalong circle where everyone who wants to can sing and/or strum along. This is a chance to revisit some favorite songs and to warm up before anyone takes the stage.
Whether you’re an experienced musician or ready to try performing for the first time, the evening offers a supportive community atmosphere where you can share your love of music.
All ages are welcome to attend and perform.
Anyone can sign up to perform! Sign ups are inside the front entrance after guests pay the cover charge at the door. Performance slots are first come, first pick, although order may be slightly rearranged to accommodate young students who need the earliest times slots.
