Duke Mansion’s annual open home and garden tour will be taking place Sunday, June 16th, 2019, throughout the day, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., including a twilight tour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. They are free but you have to register and they fill up quickly. Enjoy a free tour of the inside of this historic landmark home including the public spaces and many of the overnight rooms along with the 4.5 acres of restored and renovated gardens. Learn about the history of The Mansion and experience its setting in one of Charlotte’s most historic neighborhoods. Free valet parking on site.
Wine, beer or cocktails will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon. You are welcome to enjoy your favorite drink as you tour the grounds.
The event includes:
- Giant Connect 4
- Giant Jenga
- Cornhole
- Puttskee (which is a really fun combination of Putt Putt and Skee Ball)
- The Carolina Raptor Center will bring a few feathered friends for kids to visit on The Mansion’s front lawn from 2 – 4 pm
- Guests can purchase craft beers from NoDa Brewing and Birdsong Brewing. We’ll also have specialty bourbons and summer cocktails available for purchase.
- The Twilight Tour (6 – 8 pm) will feature a cash bar, delicious small bites prepared by the executive chef, and a steel drum player to add to the festive mood. (The small bites are free; the drinks are from the cash bar.)
All tours require an RSVP. Just sign up for a specific time slot, and you are welcome to attend any time during your slot. If you have a group of 10 or more, call 704-714-4445 to schedule a tour.
Tours are appropriate for all ages, and photography is welcome.
