
The Trail of History and Mecklenburg County are presenting the Trail of History Festival on May 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Captain Jack Statue, at Elizabeth Park, 4th Street and Kings Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina.
This free festival celebrates the growth of Mecklenburg County, featuring local history, art music and food.
The Trail of History Festival is a lead-up to the Meck Dec Day celebrations in Charlotte, and you can expect to learn all about the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence.

The Trail of History, on Little Sugar Creek Greenway, features statues that represent Charlotte’s 250-year diverse ethnic, religious and political history.
