SouthPark Mall’s annual tree lighting celebration will take place at Symphony Park:
Tree Lighting Celebration and Caroling by Candlelight at Symphony Park on Wednesday, December 2. From 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., guests can enjoy festive family entertainment including face-painting, refreshments and pictures with holiday characters such as Rudolph and Frozen’s Olaf. Throughout the evening, a quartet of Dickens Carolers will roam and perform holiday favorites. Battery-operated candles will be given to guests as they arrive to enjoy the night by candlelight.
Later in the evening, a Carolina a capella show chorus will be introduced to lead sing-a-longs of Christmas carols as the lyrics fill a 24-foot movie screen for guests to follow along to their favorites. The tree will be lit at the end of the evening to officially kick off the holiday season.
