The Casual Pint (Rivergate), 14126 Rivergate Parkway, Charlotte, North Carolina, is holding its 1st WKRP in Cincinnati Turkey Drop on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The turkey drop is intended to become an annual event at The Casual Pint.
If you’re not familiar with the “Turkey Drop” episode of WKRP in Cincinnati, from 1978, here you go!
The Casual Pint’s version of the Turkey Drop will be a little bit different.
For one thing, the turkeys are rubber. And, also, they are technically rubber ducks. You can purchase a rubber duck for $10, or 5 for $45, or 10 for $90. Register your numbered duck.
Then the turkey ducks will be dropped from a towering height onto targets below. If your duck lands on a target you’ll win a prize, including swag, gift cards, and more, from local businesses.
Proceeds will support local charities.
It’s free to attend. Just pay for your ducks and for your food and drink.
During this family-friendly event, enjoy WKRP nostalgic clips and soundbites, and more. The Casual Pint will be offering special deals and special menu items.
