Turtle Rescue Team is an organization run by volunteer veterinary students at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. Their mission is to treat injured and sick wild turtles and reptiles, and release them back into the wild. They also contribute to research on wildlife, and teach students valuable medical skills.
Turtle Team is trying to work with the DMV to get a special TRT License Plate. The first year is free due to a generous donation from a sponsor.
After that you can cancel the plate or continue to renew it for $30/year. If they get 300 people to sign up this will unlock $3,000 worth of funding that goes directly to support Turtle Rescue Team!
If the plate is approved, new sign-ups will be a source on ongoing funding for Turtle Rescue Team, to allow them to purchase medical supplies, equipment, medication, and more!
