The U.S. National Whitewater Center’s festival, on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, Uncorked, features tastings of wines from 16 vineyards. It costs $10 for a tasting card that gets you four 2-ounce samples. There will also be several races, which do have a fee. But admission to the festival itself is free and four bands are performing. Parking is $5 per car. The Whitewater Center is at 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, on the shores of the beautiful Catawba River.
