Third Annual Queen City Jazz Fest takes place Saturday, June 17th, 2017, at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre, and tickets are available online.
To celebrate the festival, there will be free jazz Uptown all weekend.

Charlotte-based Saxophonist, Marcus Jones will start the Uptown Jazz weekend at Polk Park, accompanied by a bass, drum and keyboard trio.

Charlotte resident and “bassist to the stars,” John Dillard headlines a performance at the Government Center, accompanied by a saxophone, drum and keyboard trio.
Kevin Jones Experience at Sounds on the Square

The Kevin Jones Experience will appear at Blumenthal Arts’, Sounds on the Square series. Sounds on the Square is the weekly, live music event all summer at Spirit Square, featuring music from all genres. Guests are encouraged to purchase a picnic dinner from the 7th Street Public Market, bring a chair and enjoy the free jazz under the stars.

7th Street Public Market closes out Uptown’s weekend of jazz with a Father’s Day Brunch, encore performance by Jeff Bradshaw from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Bradshaw’s trombone-driven music spans soul, jazz, hip-hop and funk and will be accompanied by a bass, drum and keyboard trio.
