The Uwharrie Wampus Cats are a collegiate baseball team that competes at Don Montgomery Park, 500 US 52 North, Albemarle, North Carolina. This locataion is about 40 miles from the center of Charlotte. It’s only 22 miles from Concord and 13 miles from Mount Pleasant, NC.
The team competes in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League, an MLB-supported summer league.
The ballpark has bleachers, as well as tabletop and picnic seating areas. You an also bring lawn chairs for the lawn area. A concession stand is open for the games, and there are often food trucks as well.
On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, the Wampus Cats are hosting an Independence Day Celebration. Following the 7 p.m. game against the Race City Bootleggers, the organization will present its first ever post-game fireworks show.
Tickets to the game are just $7 in advance and $8 at the gate, if available. Purchase tickets here.
