Join us for an engaging workshop community experience. You can be a part of a one-of-a-kind creation session centered around our library “Fairy Trail” fairy tale series. Participants will have a chance to work with the artists to create responsive shapes inspired by a particular fairytale.
Each session involves collaboration through the formation of shapes and cutting them out of architectural foam substrates. You will have a chance to create and express your individual responses to a literary work.
The final 3D painting will be influenced by classical story-telling and interpretations by families who have read them
After the event the artists will combine the communities’ creativity with our unique visuals into a final 3D painting. The original art will be displayed in the public library, as part of their permanent collection, giving a sense of ownership to all who were involved.
Presented by Community School of the Arts, through the Arts and Science Council’s Culture Blocks partnership.
